Thatnks mom For all that you are doing for me I really do appreciate it and Also father thanks for all that you do well here is this awesome story that happened to me last week.
A success Story
Well this past saturday I had a split with my district leader Elder Howell.
At first on the split I had everything all planned and on what we were going to be doing. Some streets that we were going to be dooring and a few inactives to go by on, but as we ate lunch and were headed outsided I felt like my plans were not good that Í should go do something else. That was crazy because when I got this prompting we were alreadsy headed on our way to the place I had chosen. So when we arrived at the place I had chosen , and for a little while we were wandering because I was feeling for the spirit to guide me were to go. Then all of the sudden I said out loud " I am lost I do not know where we are going" then this huge high rise appeared out of no where I swear. So Elder Howell said lets go there He was talking about the high rise and we went there and there was twelve floors. We knocked on all of the doors and we got 3 appointments set up for this week is was really awesome howe being in tune with the spirit works and helps you tremendously.

Dear Mother
To answer some of your questions in your last e-mail. The current imvestigator that we have yes in fact she is german she comes from east german. She grew up in the time of the DDR when russia owned or I should say took over that part of germany. She really has had a difficult life has not been that easy for her, But man she is really amazing.
To answer another question of yours. The reason that I am teaching mostly outlanders is becasue more than half of germany is filled with imigrants becasue there home country was not safe for them to live and they want oppurtunity for their kids.
I Love this gospel and how it changes people ecspecially me I am a wholly different person for the better not for the worse MOM. I hope all is well with thew family. All is well here in germany Christmas is coming really soon the germans arer getting prepared for that. Another reason I can tell that winter is almost her is because how cold it is here it is really starting to get cold.
Christmas here is supposed to be a better time for missionary work becasue as for here the message os more towards CHRIST and not towards the gifts and the silly pagan tradtion that most country celebrate now.

it is really nice to here from you thanks for taking the time to write me like you do. I just love to read yours and also moms emails it just makes me so good inside sometimes I get a little emotional, But hey keep them coming. That sounds really awesome your already at 50 percent done with your MBA that is really awesome to hear father. You are a true example of what I want to be When I have my own family thanks for the awesome realtionship that we have. It is really sad here becasue most families that are not in the church hate their families well I should say there parents. It is really sad to see, but also on the other hand it is awesome to see the micracolous sorry that is spelled wrong , but the amzing change that this gospel brings to families.
I would love to leave you with my testimony
I know that God is our loving heavenly father and that he loves us so much and wants the best for us. I know that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he love us so much that he came to the earth to teach us and help us become like him. I know that the power of the Atomement has it is something so incredible. That through Christ we can be come cleansed from sin. I know that through Jesus Chrit we are able to make it back to our heavenly father and to live with our family in heaven forever. I know that In the year 1820 a young man named joseph smith was searching for the truth and as he read James 1:5 He knew how he could find out which church was true. That he did go into the grove of tree´s and did kneel down and pray to our father in heaven and I know without a doubt the God the father and Jesus Christ came to him and answered his question. I know that Joseph smith was called as a prophet from God. I KNow that Joesph smith did indeed fact translate the book of mormon with the gift and power of God. I Know that The Book of Mormon is the word of God and with the bible we have the fullness of the gospel. I know that Joseph Smith did restore The gospel of Jesus Christ The same gospel that Jesus had when he was on the earth. I know that joseph smith did restore the keys and power of the priesthood I know that we have living and true prophet of God today. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true and living prphet on this aerth to day and that the heavens are still open today and that God still speaks to his children today

Hello family
How is it in hawaii? I hope that all is well with that. It was transfers this weekend and I am staying in cologne with Elder Despain. I am really excited for this next cycle we are just going to get alot done
Well to update on the investigator, She wants to be baptized It is so exciting to see the miracoulus change that goes through people when they live the gospel, and it is really awesome to see the change that the book of mormon brings as people read in it and do what is right.
Well you have alway wanted to know a day and life of Elder SMith
I arise at 6:30 and do exercises for a half hour and then eat breakfast, then I go and take a shower. At this time 8:00 is my personal study when i get to get ready for lessons or just get to learn more and more about the gospel. 9:00 is companionship study we get ready for any lessons that we have that day and role play how it will go down and also study how we can gain chrsitlike attributes, then we study the gosepel and try to grow in this gospel in unity. 10:00 is the language study hour where i read out of my german grammer book and do the practices it has for me to do and then read out of the book of moron and study it.
Then we head out to work for about 3hrs and then take our lunch break then we go out again and go contating people on the street and then also do doors until about 8:00 and then head home unless we have an appointment then head home later then eat dinner and then plan for about an half hour what we are going to do tomorrow then after that get ready for bed and then head to bed at 10:30
That is a normal day for me. I really hope all is well you dad abdf your schooling and your job and hope all wi well you benji and amanda and you grandma and gandpa durfee and my favorite aunties

Almost Halloween

So I hope that you guys have a wondeful time in hawaii take a lot of pics for me will you.
Well as I have been telling about our wonderful referral.
She is progressing really well, andf she told us last wednesday that she would like to be baptized , but we have no exact date, and we are meeting with her tomorrow.
An amazing experince happen to us yesterday
We were coming home earlier to eat dinner. That was a little unusual for me but, I just rolled with it. After we ate I had a feeling about o go on this guy that I contacted a few weeks ago. As we were headed out we decided to go by on this man and well he let us in and we got to teach him the first lesson and gave him the comitment to read and pray , and now we are meting with him mext friday.
It is really amazing to see how the lord will tremdously bless you as you obey with exactness and listento the promptings of the spirit

Well here is the add on to the story that I told you last week
Well to tell you how the lesson went with the referral that we got last sunday.
Well first off it was a little complicated to find how we were going to go there , but after that we got it all figure out. When we got to the s bahn station and from there we were supposed to take a bus, but we missed it by a few minutes. Honestly we did not know how we were going to get there, but as I realxed and listned for the spirit. we found a bus that we could take that would take us closer than the other bus that we were planning on taking in the first place. After that we got there found where she lived. Their was one problem and that was we were waiting on our mitbeleher. We were just waiting there and i think I called him about 5 times, but no answer so I was really getting worried, but again as I relaxed and left it in the lords hands he called us about 5 min later and he was lost. That was some really good news to hear. So in the lesson we found out that she has really had a hard life and that she has a lot of knowledge about other churches and that she had real the Book of Mormon 2 and starting again. The lesson went really well. Every question that she had went a long with our lesson. At the end of our first lesson we asked her if she had ever prayed about the book of mormon and she said that she had and that this is what happened after she did that and it wasa feeling a peace. So we explained that was the holy ghost and then we committed her to pray about what we said and the book of mormon. Then she asked us how does one pray, that was an aweosme question to hear. Then we asked her to say the closing prayer and guess what she DID.
That was an amazing experience to me Presdedent this LAdy is goldem Golden as it gets. I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY

Well really all is well here In köln the work is really starting to blossum as we forget ourselves and go to work. The lord reall is willing to bless you as you strive to achieve his will. I have personally seen that.

Greetings from köln Kalk. All is well here actually something really awesome happened on sunday.
Well it started off being a normal sunday in that we got to church and talk to some ward members and then we sat down waiting for the meeting to start. I was just sitting in the chapel contemplating how best I could help the Köln gemeinde, then someone ushered me out to the foyer and to be totally honest I was a little confused. This man came up to me and and intoduced this lady to me and said " Hey this is my friend and she is investigating the church and I would like it if you would teach her." I was taken back I did not know how to take this, I mean I accepted it of course , but it was a real blessing that the lord is there and alway blesses you when you are in his service.
Have a wondeful week strive to have the spirit in all that you do!

A Day in the Life of Elder Smith

Hello Mother and family,
Well from your email I got that you would like more details, so here they are.
Usually for general conference we listen to it at the ward building. We get to see most of the sessions live. The first one on Saturday we see at about 6 pm at night, then on Sunday morning we watch the Priesthood session, then we see the Saturday afternoon session. Then we have a break for about 2 hours until the Sunday morning session starts, but we do not get to see the Sunday afternoon session until we get our Liahona. That is why I would like the iPod. We listen to it in our native language unless we have an investigator with us.
How is my german coming? That is a very good question. I have very few struggles with it. It feels like it is second nature. Now about my companion he is from Washington. He is about a year and a half out. I really do not know much more about him that I could tell you.
Elder Crump is in the southern most tip of our mission in Karlsruhe. So yes, he is still out. He trained me when he was very young on the mission.
Well about Köln, it is is the biggest city in our mission. I think it has close to 3 million people in it. The ward is a very small one. The ward used to be pretty big, but something happed and a lot of members fell away. So the majority of work that we have to do is reactivation along with finding our own investigators. I can not tell you much more about this city because I have only been here a little while.
Something interesting happened to me and my comapnion last week. Basically we were robbed by some turkish punks and we were threatened to be killed if we did not give up our cell phone. We gave up our cell phone.

General Relief Society Broadcast

So I was transferred to Köln. It is actually the biggest city in our mission. I would like it if the family got together, not the whole family, but the ones at home and you looked up KÖLN and things about that city. You should be receiving a giant letter from me soon so be prepared.
My companion is Elder Despain. He is from Washington state and that is all that I really know about him.
Well, I would like to tell you an awesome story that happened to us the second day that I was in Köln.
We were heading home for the night and honestly I did not want to do anything but go home. Elder Despain thought that we should go do some doors at the Fach hoch shule wohnungs. We went there , but nothing happened. No would let us in and they also wouldn't listen to us for more then 10 seconds. We were on our way home when I saw a girl out of the corner of my eye when we were crossing the street. When I saw her I had this strong impression to go talk to her, and so I did. It turns out that she already had the Book of Mormon but she had not read it. I then asked her if we could meet again and explain what the Book of Mormon is about, and she said yes. We have an appointment with her this week.

An Awesome story
Well the other day I was talking to Igor ( our current investigator) and Elder Mccurdy was on the phone. I felt this prompting to ask him questions. The were: "Hey Igor, have you noticed that Elder McCurdy and I are a lot different than most people in that we are happy with our lives?" His reply was "yeah, I really do see that." Then I asked him if he wanted to have that happiness in his life. He said he would love it. So I said it was my belief in God and what he has done for me.
Mom, first you have got to understand something. Igor did not even believe in God at this point. So back to my story.
Then Elder McCurdy got off the phone and together we testified of the truthfulness of this gospel. Then the other day Igor said that he prayed to God and got an answer. That is not even the best part, yesterday we set a baptismal date with him. He is going to get baptized. It is really awesome to see the miraculous changes.

Well the other day Elder McCurday and I were coming home from Bahn hof and while we were walking home we saw this young German man coming towards us. So we both decided that we were going to talk to him and as we did he really opened up to us and we gave our story. He seemed really excited. One Week to Go!
Hey!!
I love you guys and the work is really progressing. I LOVE IT HERE!! What more can I say?
Thanks for all that you guys are doing, and thanks for your prayers. There isn't anything more that I can ask for.
Can I know what is inside the package because I won´t get it for about 5 weeks? This is because when you send it to the mission home we only can get it at zoko´s(zone conference) and that is not until next transfer.

What Happened Last Week?

Hey I am truly sorry that I did not reply to you I knew that I forgot to do something. It is really crazy what is going on here, the work is really progressing, and I will tell you what I have been up to lately.
Lately Elder McCurdy and I have ben meeting with about 4 investigators and that's a lot for me. It really has taken a lot of our time. I would like to tell you about them. Our first investigators are Maria and Astrix, yes Astrix it is her real name. They have really come to love us they always want us to come over and I think it is because we are filled with the spirit, and that we are happy all the time. Anyway, Maria has really had a rough life. She is from Armenia and has two kids, she was married, but got out of the relationship becasue it was an abusive realtionship. She really is an example to me of someone who has really trusted in the Lord with all that she has. She is awesome.The next investigator that we have is named Igor. He is from Russia and he loves America and everything about America,hence us Americans. At first we would just hang out then I really had a strong impression that I needed to tell him about the restoration and he really liked it. We gave him the Book of Mormon and we usually ask them to read, but as we gave it to him he said that he would read it that night. That was just amazing. I really didn´t know if he would be interested , but the Lord works in miraculous ways.
Our next investigator is named Roseline. She is really awesome. She is from Africa, Kenya to be exact. I really don't know how to decribe her. Whenever I think of her I just think of a God given gift to us, it makes me tear up every time I think about her. She is really an angel to help me through everything. She loves us and she loves the gospel. I have just got to tell you a story about her. We gave her the Book of Mormon and she began to read about a chapter a day and I think that is way sweet because its hard enough to get some people it even read a verse in the Book of Mormon. She is reading a chapter, wow. Well anyway, we took Roseline to an FHE activity (she loved it by the way). Sorry I forgot to tell you, she went to church the day before, so as we were headed home she said that she could not put down the Book of Mormon and she finished 1 Nephi and almost done with 2 Nephi. My heavens! When she told me that my whole body got filled with tingles and I almost cried. That's is what I have been up to and it's been crazy becasue everyone wants to meet with us everyday so you can see out dillema, but I LOVE IT!
So fam, I love you guys. Thank you guys so much for all of your prayers. I would like for you guys to do something for me and that is everyone in all of your prayers ask for a missionary experince and report back to me in a few weeks to see what has happened.

Last Week

Hey, I thought that last week I wrote a pretty fair amount. That is pretty awesome that Brother Derrik is back. That is so crazy. Well life here is kind of crazy. Could you ask Alex what language he speaks Aunt Mary's husband. We have an awesome investigator that is from Kenya and I told her that I have 2 uncles from Africa. What I am getting at is that it would be nice if he could write her an encouraging letter in his native tongue. I think that would make her feel awesome.
This week we have ZOKO (Zone Conference). I love it we get to see how the mission is doing as a whole and how we can do better as missionaries . I just love learning how I can do better. It is really awesome how much I am learning about myself. Also how and why I cope with others so well.
Guess what a very important person in the family has a birthday coming up, who is it?

Life after transfers

Well there is a little miracle that I would like to tell you about:
It starts out last week on Monday Elder McCurdy and I were out finding people around where we live. While we were doing that we ran into this lady, this African lady to be exact. We started talking with her and we just gave her the basics of what we believe, then we gave her one of those blue pass along card that tells about our church. After that we asked her if we could meet her again and she said that she is always on this street because she works near there. She told us that we could meet her at her work on Saturday. Saturday came and we went by where she worked, but we did not see her. We decided to ask someone there if they knew a lady named Roseline. It turns out that they did, but she was already gone. After that day Elder McCurdy and I asked ourselves if we were ever going to see this lady again. As it turns out she called us on Sunday and wanted to meet with us the following day which was Monday. We taught her and it went really well. She said that she wants to be like us, then she came to FHE with us. It was just a miracle that the Lord blessed us with this week.
I wanted to feed you spiritually before i just talk to you regularly. I mean that is what missionaries do. That is way awesome. I love that song that you have shared with me. Thank you so much for that. As for me, I am staying. What is the name of that city that I am in? I will just tell you, Mönchengladbach. All is well here and I am actually loving it here. That is cool that Caroline came down again. I bet that is a real treat for Brandon. I love you all.

Father's Day

Hey mother, I am so sorry. I feel so sorry that I forgot that it was Father's day. They really don't celebrate it here. It is kind of sad. There is something coming for dad. So happy later Father's day father. Back to your questions, I have not received the envelope from the Sowby´s yet. Now I am excited for that. This week things have been crazy, but hey it is missionary work. Some news to tell you is that transfers are coming up. It is crazy how fast this transfer went by. I do not want my time here in Germany to go by so fast, but sadly it is. I am trying to make the best of things for the Lord and also for me.
Well, how are Buhlers doing? Is Sarah home yet? How is everything going with Brandon? Is there anything that I can do to help? If there is just tell me.

Hey Fam!
Everything in Mönchengladbach is really picking up!! I love it here. I really like working with Elder McCurdy. He really is helping me learn the language a lot better and getting me out of my shell. I mean we are really talking to everyone.
Here is one of our success stories together:
We were headed to a refferal that we had recieved from the office, but the day that we headed out there was a holiday. So this meant not many people were out. We talked to everyone that we could, but as we were on our way we got lost ,and I didn`t know how we were going to get to our referral. We were headed along and stopped at a bus halte stelle and there was this girl seemed like Jake's age to me. Who knows though, I can not tell girls ages anyway. We asked her how we could get where we needed to? She called some people and then she returned to back to us. So after that, Elder McCurdy told here why we were going there. He also told her who we are and what we were all about. She was really interested and she gave us her number. I am now hoping to meet with her.

Wow

All is well Here with Elder McCurdy and I. Every little thing just seems to be working out for me and him. I really can see the Lord's hand in the work. We do all that we do-- all we can and then just trust in the Lord. He really truly comes through for us.
I know that you would like to know what is going on. Well here it is .
Well I arrived in Mönchegladbach. I was kind of nervous to meet my new companion because I heard mixed things about him. What really helped me is a talk that I had read (or it might have been the spirit) and that is that I should make my own opinion of him. So that is what I did, and he is a really awesome Elder. Well work here in Mönchengladbach is really up and coming. We really are having a lot of success finding people. I mean in my last area we found about 2 to 3 people ,but since I have been here we have been blessed to find 1 to 2 people each week! It really has been amazing. Here in Mönchengladbach it is a really small city. It is like American Fork. To tell you about our investigators: we have an awesome one, her name is Maria and she is from Armania. Whenever we go over there it is awesome to see. She teaches us about our gospel princeples, but the funny thing is that she doesn't even know it. So she is a very solid investigator. Another is actually her best friend and well a sucky thing is that Nuna had to go back to Armania for 2 months. We had to stop teaching her, but I really hope that the missionaries that are in this area when she gets back still get to teach her. That is what has been going on in the mish right now. I love it here serving the Lord and the tremendous learning oppurtunity that I have. Stay Strong Fam! You're always in my prayers!

Hey all is well in Mönchengladbach. I really like my companion. He has really helped me with the German language. I love it. He has shown me a new way of contacting. It is so freaking awesome and I am getting more people to respond, and their response is a good one, but i mean we have some time contacting but we are usually in appointments!
This work is really amazing. I am already praying for the family. I make sure that i will keep that in mind and also keep updated with everyone. If there really is there anything that I could do to keep the load off of you just tell me, ok? Don't worry about me. I am in the Lord's hands and He is taking care of me!

Transfers

Hey transfers actually went as planned. I did not miss any of my trains or go through any of the or deals that usually happens, so that part of transfers went really well. What went really better is my companion his Name as you already know is Elder Mccurdy he is a really awesome guy and I think no I actually know that we are going to see a lot of success
Elder McCurdy is from Virginia and he has 8 people in his family. He is a really awesome guy. Well you wanted to know some things about my area it is a small area. It is about 4 hours from Frankfurt, but it is a really nice area. Elder McCurdy has really shown me some new ways that I can contact and is really helping me out with my German

Well here is a little success story that Elder Crump and I had.
We met with fredrick yesterday and Yes he has a baptismal date for june 13. Yesterday we taught him the 10 commmendments and also the law of chastity that was very interesting, but it went really well. HE understood everything and said that he would follow the Law of Chastity. It was awesome I am gaining a greater love for this german people. I love them so very much and would do anything for them. Back to fredrick his reading skills are really improving. He is already on chapter 3 in the book of mormon and now we gave hime some of the book of mormon on cd.
Mom what is wrong with your heart you really are alarming me. Is there any thing that i can do to help. I love you and you are in my prayers.So yes as you have already read I am being transfered and that fredick has a Baptismal date

Wow it sems that a lot is going on there. Is there anything that I can do? if there is let me know. I can not get the medicine that I need here. I wish that I could, all that I am wanting is some clartin D if that is not too much to ask. This past week has been an interesting one. Elder crump and I decided to do some new contacting stradegies with the movies that we have like on saturday we decided to a contacting stratedgy with the film finding happiness. I wished and hoped that it would work better but it really didnt, but I would really like to tell you an interesting story that I got from this past weekend
OK here it goes... well we were contacting in one of our stadt teils called altrip and we were doing some doors. I would like to tell you how the approached would go. "hello good day we would like to show you a small fim, it is about how we can find happiness in this life" it really didnt work to well so we were going along and it was my turn to do the door approach. I Klingeled the house a woman let us in and she had no pants or underwear on and she had on a amelias size shirt so i saw every thing I was blinded. oh man your poor little sone did not want to see that at all but i did any so i actually just hurried and did the door approach and wanted to get out of there. I turned to elder crump and gave hime signals that i wanted to get out of there, but i guess he didnt see them, but he did not see what i saw. That i´s what has been going on this week.

Now on to answer your questions. Yes mother i am writing other besides you and they are kim, amanda, rylee, erin. but I am not writing them consistantly as you can see already, but I am really trying to fucus on the lord as much as I can. As to your other question I have nto really thought about thatg mother I am really trying to focus on the work and the lord and the lords people of germany. So to answer that question no I have not put a second thoght I have two years to the lord and i what to give it to him full heartedly. Well i already answered that question but yes I am focuse and the lord and thew lords work and the lords people. I really dont think you really want to know what I am eating. (Nur Spass) only fun I eat grilled cheese, some cup of noodles and also spagetti our own little version that we have and some other pastas that we like to whip up. peanut butter and jelly or just peanut and honey sandwhiches, and of course chocolate, a lot of different salads and potatoes and bratwursts, pudding and of course one of my favorite meals and that is dampf nood OH MEAINE GUTE it is so good and some other meals that i dont know what they are but were good. I can not forget about ice cream. I meean if you like ice cream you think that you have had real ice cream, but i am sorry you are sadly mistaken this ice cream over here is just so amazing . I love to make banana bread and crepes I make those a lot for my companion. Yes i am meeting members I have a few favorite members i know that your not supposed to but sorry i do. They are the OLineks and the Broo´s. Sundays are a little different we have to meet with the ward mission leader but the rest is the same but our meetings are backwards with preisthood first then sunday school and then sacrament. then we usuall go out contacting fo rthe rest of the day. I love my companion He is so flippin sweet he is like a brother to me. Its aweosme to see how we both grow in the gospel and as we do the we grow in unity. I am the most importantr attribute that you need is love for the people the lord and just everything in general a mission is just like a two year mini life that you get the chance to grow. I am learning so much what am i not learing thát is ties with the gospel i am reading everythign like the Bible and BoM and DandC i lpve them also our modern day revelation the ensign. I that my family is moving into a new house as long as i dont have to help jk no but serious i better have my own room when i ger back. yes i have been heathy other than my leg i am have really been heathly. I hace request for you cabn you send me my allergy medicin ASAP spring season is here. The weather here is really amzing I love it
The city that i am living in have a little city but in the city it has about 13-14 stadt ties those are part of the city its a german thing there like little towns connected to the city. WHen you come to Europe I will show you. It is really differernt like 60 percent with all the smokinh and alchohol and the porn everywhere you can reall see what satan has his mad deep not only in germany and in europe. i will send this to dad ok mom

Well i already answered that question but yes I am focuse and the lord and thew lords work and the lords people. I really dont think you really want to know what I am eating. (Nur Spass) only fun I eat grilled cheese, some cup of noodles and also spagetti our own little version that we have and some other pastas that we like to whip up. peanut butter and jelly or just peanut and honey sandwhiches, and of course chocolate, a lot of different salads and potatoes and bratwursts, pudding and of course one of my favorite meals and that is dampf nood OH MEAINE GUTE it is so good and some other meals that i dont know what they are but were good. I can not forget about ice cream. I meean if you like ice cream you think that you have had real ice cream, but i am sorry you are sadly mistaken this ice cream over here is just so amazing . I love to make banana bread and crepes I make those a lot for my companion. Yes i am meeting members I have a few favorite members i know that your not supposed to but sorry i do. They are the OLineks and the Broo´s. Sundays are a little different we have to meet with the ward mission leader but the rest is the same but our meetings are backwards with preisthood first then sunday school and then sacrament. then we usuall go out contacting fo rthe rest of the day. I love my companion He is so flippin sweet he is like a brother to me. Its aweosme to see how we both grow in the gospel and as we do the we grow in unity. I am the most importantr attribute that you need is love for the people the lord and just everything in general a mission is just like a two year mini life that you get the chance to grow. I am learning so much what am i not learing thát is ties with the gospel i am reading everythign like the Bible and BoM and DandC i lpve them also our modern day revelation the ensign. I that my family is moving into a new house as long as i dont have to help jk no but serious i better have my own room when i ger back. yes i have been heathy other than my leg i am have really been heathly. I hace request for you cabn you send me my allergy medicin ASAP spring season is here. The weather here is really amzing I love it
The city that i am living in have a little city but in the city it has about 13-14 stadt ties those are part of the city its a german thing there like little towns connected to the city. WHen you come to Europe I will show you. It is really differernt like 60 percent with all the smokinh and alchohol and the porn everywhere you can reall see what satan has his mad deep not only in germany and in europe. i will send this to dad ok mom

Yes I am glad to be back in ludwigshafen and everything back to normal. My leg is fine and I am so glad to be tracting contacting again its awesome how much you learn.
This past week has been an eventful one through getting all the goldens, picking up the trainers, and then heading back to good old Ludwigshafen I am so glad to back, it has been pretty ha4rd to contact because of the easter weekend and no one wants to be bothered, but other than that every thing is just fine and dandy

Elder Smith and His Little Miracle
HEllo greetings from ludwigshafen
I love missionary work so much I am learning so much, thanks to my trainer. This week was power week and it was a really good we will see this week if our contacts turn into new investigators, but we had a lot of contacts last week and some just seem really golden i hope that they will meet with us.
Now i will tell an amazing story that happened to Elder Mcdermott and I. We were on district finding zeit sorry time in Ludwigshafen, and we wanted to austausch sorry I mean switch and see how they contact so for the first hour i was with Elder Franke the native german. So at that time i took the oppurtunity to ask all the german question that i had at that time and speak the most german so that he could help me improve on my language capability, but when we went contacting there was noone on the street it was like they knew we were coming and they decided to all go inside it was really weird. After that hour i went with my district leader Elder Mcdermott who is so awesome and we got to go on part of the fuß to contact. We were on there headed north i think and every person that we talked tpo they either said kein zeit or kein intresse which we always get. So we kept on going and then we hit a dead end we either could go back the way we went or go left. Elder Mcdermott asked me what i though and i had a strong impression that we should go left so we did and we were walking and about 30ft later a person came and so Elder Mcdermott decided to contact her and she just ignored us but then we had got turned around and we were heading the direction we cam from and there was this lady. I decided to contact her but she did not understand german than i asked if she understood english and she said yes. So i told her that i was a missionary and we would like to share a message about jesus christ and then we got talk and she said that she had been look for a church to join, and she said that the church her and her husband just didn't seem right and so her and her husband had been praying for which church to join and the spirt was so stong i got some water up and so she said we are the answer to her prayers we asked for her contact and she said she did not remmeber her numberso i gave her ours and now we are hoping that she will call i pray everyday that she will call us.
That was my amazing story for this week

Hello greeting from ludwigshafen!
Everything is going grand except for investigators part we have on right now and hopefully two more next week if all goes well. Right now i am just loving the gospela nd just loving the oppurtunity that I have to serve in germany they are such a great people. I am learning so many things in just the beginning of book of mormon, I love the spirit and how it enlightens our minds so well and just the sure knowledge that come from the spirit. I am growing in so many different ways .
Elder Crump and I are doing well. We really get along well with eachother its awesome how we grow together, and just getting more and more unified as a companionship this week. Sorry my elglish is so bad, but the german is taking over and I think in german, i love it ! I love how the spirit can help you say things in the very moment that you need it. If it is either just contacting someone one the street or going door to door the spirit is there and helps me so much and I am so thankful for it.
Mom I just wanted to tell you that I am so sorry and that i am wroking budgeting and really wont pull money out unless it is an (emergency-choclate) just kidding I won´t even if the chocolate is so much better here. You think you have had good chocolate well I am sorry mom i am going to have to tell you that you are wrong. Another thing that I would like to clear up and that is my mission president allows us to use our gmail or our hotmail, or our yahoo those are his exact words so no need to fret mom. I am obeying the rules with exactness and i love it here in germany. That will be cool to know when I get home that I (probably) have my own room I hope ( Back off little kids) So is there anything that i can do to help any thing i would really like to know and see where i can help. I hope that you like the pictures that i sent you hope all goes well with the house.

Letter from Zak
Hey how are you doing? Well I love it here in Germany. I cant believe how much I can understand and I am learning more and more language (thanks to my trainer, Elder Crump).
Well, I heard that you like to hear about miracles, well here is one. On Sunday this past week we were having a ton of finding time so we could get a our minds off of food so we did doors for about three hours. Then we went and ate that was AMAZING. After that Elder Crump told me to pray and look at the map of where we should go. So I did that and we found a place Limburgerhof on the street of Mosel. So we got to Limbergerhof. Elder Crump wanted to hurry over to that street and wanted to ride our bike. I suggested that we walk, so we walked over there and found this amazing guy and I think that we are going to meet with him this week

Greetings From the MTC
Well i didnt want to bother you with such little things becasue i thought it would be just a tooth ache and it turned out to be a root canal i hope it does not turn out to be like fathers root canal. well any way thank you you amelia and jacob for writing at least some of the family care and yes that is including you mom and dad you write me. well how is aaron doing with school and how are things with spencer
i hope that everything goes well and thank you for all that you guys are doing and your question about the language, and the answer is it i reall coming along i slep and say german words when i am speaking just plain english can you believe that i love it here but i really wish iwas out in the field and helping others come unto christ and just serve the lord with all of my heart ond soul well holland came again on tuesday and it was amazing it was the best talkin the entire worls i could not believe it just made me want to go out there and serve for the salvation of souls because i know that i am a messenger of christs atone ment and i am a diciple of christ and that i am looked up too so well i have go to go to lunch oh yeah i for got to mention this you know how you wanted me to gain weight well i am and i and getting taller i am about 5 10 and i have gained about 8 pounds since i have been here can you believe that it reall is amazing how the lord works well love you
